History Made at 2009 South Central Regional's
For the first time in South Central Regional history and perhaps nationally, a father-son combination swept the grand championship titles at the 2009 South Central Regional Karate Championships held at the Louisiana Tech Memorial Gym in Ruston, LA.
Juan Galvan first won the Kata Grand Championship Title followed by Adrian Galvan who won both the Weapons Kata and Black Belt Kumite Grand Championship Titles. Although both competitors have won grand championship titles during this competition year, this was the first time all three had been won at the same tournament.
